Weather Cancellations

Cancellations are, in most cases, posted by 4:30 pm on the City website and social media pages. Every effort is made to reschedule cancelled games, though rescheduling isn’t guaranteed due to district and state timelines and facility availability.

Conduct and Parents Policy

All families sign the Tri-County Board of Directors for Youth Sports’ Policy on Inappropriate Behavior at registration, a zero-tolerance policy covering spectator and coach conduct. Parents and coaches ejected for unruly behavior must leave immediately along with their player. Harassment of officials, violent or threatening conduct, alcohol use, foul language, and unauthorized noisemakers or drones can result in removal, forfeiture, or referral to law enforcement.

Walhalla Rec’s Parents Policy guarantees every child playing time in each game. Coaching complaints go to recreation staff rather than to coaches during games.

Player of the Month

In 2026, Walhalla Rec launched a program recognizing outstanding youth athletes, sponsored by Blue Ridge Bank.

Sponsor Youth Athletics

Businesses can sponsor Youth Athletics through banner advertising or team sponsorship. Team sponsorship ($350) includes a field or facility banner, recognition at the season banquet, recognition on social media and in email communications to parents, a recognition plaque, and logo placement on the youth athletics homepage. Proceeds go toward trophies and the team banquet.
