Biography

Jaye launched his career in politics with stints in advance, labor organizing and political journalism. He began work as an account executive and then Senior Vice
President and Creative Director at Clinton Reilly Campaigns, at the time the nation’s largest political consulting firm. In 1990, he founded his own firm, Terris and Jaye, which grew into one of the nation’s largest political consulting firms. In 2001, he founded Storefront Political Media to provide political client.

Every one of his works is covered with a mantle of sacredness, through which he demonstrates the importance of architecture as a means of expression of human memory. In 1998, he founded his own firm, Terris and Jaye, which grew into one of the nation’s largest political consulting firms. In 2006, he founded Storefront Political Media to provide political clients the full range of media and message services..

Applying for a Special Event Permit

Any outside organization hosting a public event in Walhalla needs a Special Event Permit before the event can be approved. Here’s what to know before you apply.

⏱ Submit at least 60 days before your event

Applications received fewer than 60 days out may not be processed in time. Plan accordingly.

What you’ll need

  1. Completed Special Event Permit Application
  2. Non-refundable $100 application fee
  3. Proof of $1,000,000 liability insurance naming the City of Walhalla as co-insured
  4. All vendors (including entertainers) must hold a current Walhalla business license
  5. Food vendors must additionally register for and collect the city’s 2% hospitality tax

  • City Green — N Catherine Street & Main Street (next to Arby’s)
  • Brown Square — Main Street & College Street
  • City facilities (Depot, Old St. John’s, Recreation Facilities) — these also require a separate RecDesk reservation

Water Service Changes

Water service must be started, stopped, or transferred in person at City Hall. Walk-ins welcome as no appointment is needed.

Starting service

Bring the following to the office:

  • Valid government-issued photo ID
  • Renters: your signed lease agreement or a completed New Tenant Form (available at the office)
  • Businesses: also bring proof of passing Fire Marshal inspection

Stopping service

Bring a valid photo ID. If you’re a renter, the property owner may also need to be notified — confirm with the office if unsure.

Apply for a Utility Tap

New water and sewer tap applications must be submitted in person and require sign-off from both the City and OJRSA before a tap can be approved.

How to apply

  1. Download and complete both forms below
  2. Bring completed forms to the Water Department at 206 N Church Street
  3. Contact OJRSA separately to confirm capacity at your address as  the City cannot approve the tap until OJRSA signs off
  4. Allow additional processing time for OJRSA review
